A free-spirited wanderer (SCUEN) and a dramatic achiever (SLOAN) stand on opposite sides. SCUEN wants to break free, SLOAN wants to prove themselves. When they first meet, it seems like they could change each other.
SCUEN seems to support SLOAN's ambition, but they actually prioritize their own freedom. SLOAN admires SCUEN's freedom but feels SCUEN doesn't support them enough. When SLOAN asks "You'll support me, right?" SCUEN might already be planning their next adventure.
SCUEN's shadow side becomes even freer. SLOAN's shadow side becomes even more insecure. "Do you really like me?" SLOAN repeats endlessly. When SCUEN says "Of course, but I have to leave," SLOAN cries out "Why don't you choose me?"
SLOAN tries to deepen the relationship, while SCUEN keeps preparing to leave. SLOAN talks about "our future" while SCUEN is already thinking about how to escape from it.
“For these two to be together, SCUEN can't completely ignore SLOAN's needs, and SLOAN needs to be ready to accept SCUEN's freedom. But if one wants to leave and the other wants to stay, conflict is inevitable.”
