The Drifting Sunshine (SCUAI) and The Magnetic Disruptor (SLUAN) attract people in different ways. SCUAI draws gently, SLUAN draws intensely. When they first meet, both feel attracted to each other.
SCUAI accepts everyone. SLUAN wants to be seen as special. SCUAI's warmth draws SLUAN in, but because SCUAI is warm to everyone, SLUAN isn't special. SLUAN tries to understand SCUAI more deeply, but SCUAI doesn't want to go that deep. This difference gradually becomes conflict.
SLUAN's shadow self gets stronger. They want someone caught in their magnetic field. Even in shadow mode SCUAI treats everyone equally. When SLUAN hints "don't be with other people, be only with me," SCUAI responds "that's your issue, not mine." SLUAN's obsession suffocates SCUAI, and SCUAI's matter-of-factness wounds SLUAN.
SLUAN tries to control the relationship. SCUAI resists being controlled. When together SLUAN leads, when apart SCUAI is free. SLUAN can't bear this distance.
“For these two to be together, SLUAN must respect SCUAI's freedom, and SCUAI can't completely ignore SLUAN's intense feelings. But fundamentally, if one wants control and the other wants freedom, conflict is inevitable.”
