32-Type Catalog

How often each of the 32 types shows up, and how rare it is. Percentages appear once a type has enough responses.

How to read the 32-Type Catalog

  1. Where the catalog's numbers come from

The catalog uses the same data as the Stats page: the most recent result of each account that saved one, added up by type. It never splits by country or age and always shows the whole. The "Across N takers" line in the header is the total every percentage is based on. If the total is under 10, you see a note that percentages will appear once there are enough responses instead.

  2. Reading the overview and the cards

"Distribution at a glance" shows the most common type, the largest family and how many types have public rates. If several types tie for first, they are named together with the share each one has. A family is the eight types whose codes share the same first two letters (SL, SC, RL or RC), and the buttons at the top let you view one family at a time.

Cards with public rates come first, from most to least common. If you are signed in with a saved result, your card gets a "Your type" mark.

  3. Faded cards and "Not enough responses yet"

A type with fewer than 10 responses gets a faded card that says "Not enough responses yet" instead of a percentage. These cards sit at the end in the standard type order, not by count, so their order tells you nothing about how many people they have. Their counts are still included in the total when percentages are calculated.

What the catalog can't tell you

"Not enough responses yet" does not mean a type is rare in the world. It means few results of that type have been collected on this site so far. The percentages are shares among people who took the test here, not shares of the population. A rare type is not more special or better, either. To split the numbers by country, age range or gender, use the filters on the Stats page.
